Consultant Workshop Two: Solution Validation
UTSCC had our workshop on solution validation on Thursday! It’s the second workshop in our consultant program, and it was used to assist the teams as they start to unpack and probe their client brief.
So, what did we do?
The workshop provided insight on the structure and design of slide decks. Yes, our consultants’ solutions are important, but how they share their solutions needs to be considered as well. It’s all about developing flow, and the consultant teams were offered tips and tricks on how to do this.
The workshop also showed our consultants how to validate their solution and develop criteria to measure solutions’ strategic fit. It explained operational feasibility to the consultant teams, as this will be important to assess if their solution will attain sustained competitive advantage.
The consultants then participated in a short activity on ideation methods. Methods, such as The Worst Idea Possible, the Five Whys, and Crazy 8’s, were used to spark creativity, pushing our consultants to think of new, innovative ideas for their client.
It was an insightful, hands-on workshop for our consultant teams and we look forward to seeing them in our next workshop!
