Professional Development Workshops

Our workshops provide UTSCC members the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills, with workshop content offering insight for our 12-week pro-bono consulting program or a career in the consulting industry.

Student consultants attend five workshops that are designed to equip their teams with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in our pro-bono consulting program. The workshops are theoretical and practical, with each workshop focused on consultants’ problem-solving progress (i.e., context, problem breakdown, research, solution ideation and validation, and pitching).

Industry representatives, from our sponsoring firms and UTSCC’s alumni, can also attend. This is a useful opportunity for consultant teams to receive mentorship and to learn from representatives’ wide experience.

Workshops are also offered to associate members, such as our Careers in Consulting workshops. The workshops provide members with insight into the consulting industry and assists them in determining whether consulting is the right career path for them. Relevant skills, like boosting a consulting application and acing a consulting interview, are covered as well.
