Consultant Workshop Two: Solution Validation

On March 23, our consultants participated in the first in-person workshop for the semester! The hands-on workshop showed our consultants how to validate their solution and develop criteria to measure solutions’ strategic fit. It explained the VRIO framework to the consultant teams, as this will be important to assess if their solution will attain sustained competitive advantage. The consultants were then asked, what steps will your client need to take to implement your solutions? It was communicated that the solutions’ implementation timeline should be detailed and realistic for the client, as well as justified and strategic. 

We were then introduced to the industry representatives from Amstelveen, this being Abishek Rathour, Wendy Liu, Luke Doran, Vincent Trang, and Emma Fabreguette. They shared an insightful talk on the need to assess risks, and how to prioritise and mitigate them. The information was relevant and valuable to our consultants’ own client problems, and the examples provided useful direction. It was also an opportunity for our consultants to network with the industry representatives and learn from their wide experience.
